Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and AskAlfred Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, registered office in Cambridge, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Alfred, you're agreeing to them.
What Alfred is, and isn't
Alfred gives plain-English analysis and preparation, based on the documents and data you give him. That includes finding issues, drafting communications, forecasting cash, and preparing your year-end and tax paperwork.
Your account
- You need to be a UK business, sole trader, or acting on behalf of one, to use Alfred
- You're responsible for keeping your login details to yourself
- One account per business; if you're an accountant using Alfred across several clients, each client gets their own isolated account
- You confirm that what you tell us and upload is accurate to the best of your knowledge
Your data
You own what you upload. We process it to run the service, and we never use it to train our AI models. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Subscriptions and billing
- Free look costs nothing: a first look at your business and your top three fixes.
- Core is billed at £49 a month, or £490 a year if you pay annually.
- Sponsored access is paid for by your accountant or another firm on your behalf, at no cost to you.
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time; you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't offer refunds for partial periods.
- We'll tell you before any price change takes effect on your account.
Using Alfred fairly
Please don't:
- Try to break, reverse-engineer, or overload the service
- Use Alfred to process data you don't have the right to share with us
- Use an account for a business it wasn't set up for
- Present anything Alfred produces as regulated advice, or as the independent audit of a qualified professional, when it isn't
Intellectual property
Ask Alfred, alfred, YearReady, Cashwatch, Pulse and related names are trademarks of AskAlfred Ltd. The software, design and content of the service belong to us or our licensors. You keep all rights to the documents and data you upload.
Liability
We work hard to make sure Alfred is accurate and useful, but he's a preparation and analysis tool, not a substitute for professional judgement. You're responsible for reviewing what Alfred produces and getting proper sign-off before relying on anything regulated. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.
Ending your agreement
You can close your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently or unlawfully.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change to these terms, we'll let you know and update the date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
